I guess I’m sad because I did not ever think that you or our love would one day be nothing more than a lesson I took far too long to learn and still I keep on putting it off, the learning. I won’t commit it to memory because my body is begging me not to be finished loving you. It hurts that you are disappearing as a human lover and being reduced to just some cautionary tale. A fairytale turned fable. I wanted a partner not a fire alarm installation.
